We've stayed in the district for 3 days and as soon as we found Atara we stopped looking around for other places to dine and we visited the restaurant every day - it was a love at first bite! :) The most delicious and authentic Arabic food that we've ever tried. It's a family business so every dish is made with care and love for hospitality. Definitely recommended! Regards from Bulgaria!
Just had food at this *alestinian restaurant. We loved the concept of a weekly and daily menu. The food was delicious and the host explained all the dishes to us and was quite hospitable. Portion size was good and the prices were quite reasonable. there is a donation box for the people of g*za, please donate on your way out.
True Palestinian experience from foods to the vibes. I really liked the idea that they don’t use much spices on their dishes. Everything was perfect.
Best restaurant in Istanbul, it could easily have a Michelin star. The food is traditionally delicious, amazing service and a very nice ambiance. Once we discovered it, we came every day of our trip!
If you’re craving authentic Arabic or Middle Eastern food, ATARA delivers big time. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, but don’t expect it to be quiet — the energy here is part of the charm. We came for a proper Palestinian-style meal and left full and happy. Everything we tried was spot on, full of rich, traditional flavours. The vibe feels like home — especially thanks to Montaser, who’s a fantastic host. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the food and the experience. Highly recommend if you want re
I've been here a few times. My first visit was definitely a 5-star experience, but lately, I'd have to give it 4 stars due to a noticeable dip in food quality. The chicken was disappointingly dry, the saffron rice lacked its usual flavor, and the sarma were far too salty and sour- almost inedible, to be honest. I'm hoping this was just an off day because they used to be excellent. A couple of heads-ups: the place is tiny. Even when I reserved a table for 7, we were crammed around two small tables so they could squeeze in more guests. And oddly enough, there’s no restroom on site—so plan accordingly. That said, I’d still recommend it for the authenticity of both the concept and the food (when they get it right). Fingers crossed they bounce back!
What a phenomenal restaurant!!! Wish we were in Istanbul longer so we could come back to try more!! Such stunning decor, delicious food, and friendly service! We came on a Tuesday so had the lamb mansaf; possibly the most tender lamb I’ve ever had (pic shows meat after we already dug into it hah). We also had the fatte with meat and the eggplant and it was all flavored so perfectly and served quickly. I will be dreaming of this place!
We had lunch at this Arabic restaurant. The food was really good. This restaurant has home style cooking. The restaurant is very small and you feel like you are sitting at home. The service was warm and welcoming. This is a family owned establishment.
